BVB took an away win today vs VFB Stuttgart with a convincing 3-0 showing. Stuttgart, who are in a relegation battle fought hard to earn points, but BVB managed to hold them off. The goal scorers were Shinji Kagawa (21'),American Christian Pulisic (45'), and Mkhitaryan (56') with the first goal being assisted by Mkhi as well.
The first half was very competitive, even though BVB has 59% of the possession. Stuttgart managed to take 6 shots, but none were on target. BVB took 11 shots, six of which were on target. Stuttgart played hard in the first half, coming hard at BVB on the break multiple times. But it is BVB counters that would prove the difference as Kagawa scored his goal on a counter.

The second half didn't go as well for Stuttgart as the fight in them vanished. BVB winded the margin as Mkhitaryan pulled off some beautiful stunts to score the third goal in the game. Mkhi may be the most important player for BVB this year; it's crazy to see how much he has improved. Leitner and Schmelzer came on for Reus and Pulisic in the 76' and the game was calm from there as BVB secured a 3-0 victory. Mkhi was definitely man of the match.
Great game for BVB, but with a Bayern win today, our chance of a Bundesliga title this season is very close to 0%. Although that has seemed to be a guarantee already, the team will focus on getting healthy for the Pokal final against them in a month. This match is just another reason why we have to take some silverware out of this season, we've just been so good.
