More teenagers being observed by Dortmund? It couldn't be. But alas, this is the case. And honestly, it's far from being a bad thing.
Not long ago, it was two starlets from Bologna who were being monitored by Dortmund. This time, it is two teenage standouts from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side KRC Genk.
Defensive midfielder Leon Bailey and winger Onyinye Wilfred Ndidi are both on the BVB radar and are rumored to be heading to Signal Iduna Park this summer.
This past Saturday, Dortmund sent scouts to the Gaverbeek to scout Bailey. The Jamaican youngster played 88 minutes last weekend in a 2-1 win over Zulte-Waregem.
Dortmund have also been observing Bailey's teammate Ndidi. The Nigerian midfielder also started on Saturday, playing the full 90 minutes.
Genk is currently sitting fourth in the Jupiler Pro League Group A Standings, eight points back of table-toppers Club Brugge.
The news of Bailey and Ndidi is currently only gossip, but given Dortmund's extensive scouting of youthful talent across Europe, it's encouraging to see established starlets like these two being monitored by BVB.
With the summer window drawing closer, Dortmund fans are beginning to wonder which youth stars will be wearing black and yellow next season.
