Henrikh Mkhitaryan was the man to finally deliver the breakthrough for Dortmund against a Hoffenheim side that had defended well. The Armenian international put the finishing touches on what was a slick passing move from a short corner to make it 1-1.

Mkhitaryan took the corner kick short for Leitner, who immediately gave it back to Henrikh. The 27-year-old played a quick pass for Gundogan who one-timed it right back as Miki made his run. He then slotted the ball with ease on the ground and into the far corner for his ninth league goal of the season.

The goal was partially made possible by Hoffenheim being down a man due to Sebastian Rudy's red card. But still this move off the short corner was a passing sequence that would have even impressed Barcelona. It proved to be an inspiring goal for Dortmund as Adrian Ramos added another one just a few minutes later.
