BVB face a deficit at the break

Julian Nagelsmann continues to improve the form of relegation-threatened Hoffenheim as he has them up 1-0 at halftime against Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion.

The goal came through German international Sebastian Rudy's second of the season in the Bundesliga. Roman Burki saved an effort from Kevin Volland but could only knock the ball further into the path of Rudy, who tapped the ball home with relative ease.

Dortmund have dominated possession without much to show for it. They've had the ball 76 percent of the time but have only mustered one shot on target. Despite their inability to hold onto the ball, Hoffenheim have gotten the ball forward quickly to tally three shots on target, including the moment that matters in Rudy's goal.

If BVB are to have any hopes of challenging Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title they will need to come back and take something from this game.
