Players Show Respect to Fans After the Match

Following a gritty 1-0 victory over Porto which clinched a berth in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16, Borussia Dortmund player and fans remained at the grounds to celebrate the victory.

All the BVB players joined hands in front of their fans as it looked like the team was prepared to take a well-deserved bow. However, Dortmund chose to sit down and take in the majesty of the 3,000 traveling supporters who braved a transcontinental travel and driving rain in order to see their side play.

The look on the players faces said it all, as their awestruck demeanor showed the ample respect with which they have for their fans.

During the match, Dortmund fans cheered from the start of warmups until the final whistle blew, echoing from the Estadio do Dragao rafters. At halftime, the supporters lit flares and continued to be the loudest group in the park. Willed by their fans, BVB players put in a full 90-minute defensive effort to maintain their aggregate lead.
