Borussia Dortmund lead Porto 1-0 at halftime in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie at the Westfalenstadion.
Lukasz Pizsczek gave Dortmund the lead in the 6th minute when he scored after initially being denied by Porto keeper Iker Casillas. It was only the Polish defender's second goal of the season. He'd previously tallied in the German Cup against Paderborn on October 28th in what was a 7-1 victory.
Dortmund dominated the first half restricting Porto to barely any sight of goal at all. BVB have kept up relentless pressure throughout. When the Portuguese side do manage to get the ball they are being closed down very quickly by Thomas Tuchel's men.
BVB are in control but the tie is still very much up for grabs. It will be important for the home side to avoid conceding what could be a valuable away goal to Porto. But for now our boys are certainly doing a good job, as Porto had one shot in the first half.
