That was nice! It had been a little while since Dortmund had enjoyed a nice rout in the Bundesliga, but that changed on Saturday.
Dortmund smashed Monchengladbach 4-1 and moved up in the table, above Cologne who are falling off a bit. Aubameyang had two goals, and was probably motivated by our own Sean Keyser picking him as Fear The Wall’s Man of the Month for November.
And now for some news and notes after the weekend.
Dortmund have announced that Nuri Sahin will miss a bit of time with an injury.

Sahin picked up a knee injury against Monchengladbach, but the club say it isn’t serious. They are estimating that he’ll be out for two weeks.
Nuri hadn’t featured in a Bundesliga match this year, but Thomas Tuchel handed him a surprise start for BVB’s 4-1 win. Unfortunately for Sahin he would miss a lot of the fireworks. He had to be subbed off in the 36th minute with this injury.
It was worrisome at the time because of his injury history, but it’s a relief now to know that the injury is minor.
Newly appointed USMNT manager Bruce Arena was in Dortmund to watch BVB’s win over Monchengladbach. He was there to see Christian Pulisic, who he met after the game.

Arena was recently appointed to replace Jurgen Klinsmann. One of the first things he is doing as USMNT boss is traveling Europe to scout and meet its US internationals.
The 18-year-old Pulisic already has 3 goals for the United States in 11 appearances. So surely he’ll be playing a big part in Bruce Arena’s teams to come.
