We did it! In an exciting game our black and yellows won 1-0 at home against Bayer München. Dortmund moved up to third in the table and are three points behind the Bavarians and six behind new leader RB Leipzig. BVB have officially re-entered the title race, now Aubameyang & co. need to back this victory up in the coming weeks.

  • Yesterday was the yearly general meeting

Club president Dr. Reinhard Rauball was confirmed in his position and will act as the topmost club official for three more years. Dr. Rauball played an integral part in getting the club back on track after the near financial collapse a decade ago. It is good to see him continue his excellent work.

Borussia are now the second biggest club in Germany and the fourth biggest in the world with 145.207 members. Earlier in the season BVB overtook Schalke 04.

The club also presented the financial report for the financial year that ended on 30th June 2016. Dortmund announced a new record total revenue of 376€ million and a surplus of 29,4€ million after taxes. Borussia Dortmund now have reserves of 51,7€ million, an astonishing amount considering that the club almost had to declare bankruptcy a decade ago.
