Thank God it's Friday! The weekend is nearly upon us but sadly there will be no Dortmund game to watch. Luckily for us there are international games to save us, you have the choice between such slobberknockers as San Marino-Germany, Spain-Macedonia, Liechtenstein-Italy or Luxembourg-Netherlands....yikes.
- A new contract for Christian Pulisic?
Talking to Sports Illustrated Michael Zorc said that Borussia Dortmund are "...ready to talk about an extension". After the young Americans meteoric rise that is very well documented in an interesting interview, this might be a precaution to scare away other clubs. Recent reports about interest in the prodigy have been piling up and BVB would be smart to sign him to a long term extension.
- BVB-fans around the world are awaiting the comeback of Marco Reus, fortunately it seems like that wait might come to an end soon. Rumors suggest that Reus's name will appear on the team-sheet for Der Klassiker. He will probably not be ready to start the game but he could provide a spark off the bench if needed. How about a comeback in front of 81.359 fans and scoring the deciding goal against Bayern Munich? Sounds good to me.
- Some BVB-players were already on duty during the international break. Jacob Bruun Larsen scored twice in Denmark's U19 5-0 thrashing of Belarus. Matthias Ginter played the entire game and helped keep a clean sheet for the German U21 team against Turkey in their 1-0 victory. Just a small reminder this is Germany's U21 team.
Das ist die #U21-Startelf für #GERTUR: Pollersbeck - Weiser, Ginter, Stark, Toljan - Seguin - Sané, Dahoud, Arnold (C), Werner - Selke ⚽️

Add Julian Weigl, Jonathan Tah, Benjamin Henrichs, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Max Meyer, Julian Brandt and Serge Gnabry to this team (all of them are eligible) and you arguably have the best U21 team in the world.
- During an interview with German soccer magazine 11 Freunde Cristiano Ronaldo spoke very highly of Borussia Dortmund and Thomas Tuchel saying: "Dortmund have a fantastic team....The stadium is unbelievable and the fans are crazy. In addition Dortmund has not only a fantastic team and great fans but also a very good coach with Thomas Tuchel." He compared Dortmund to Bayern saying "I don't see a big difference in quality between Dortmund and Bayern . But Dortmund are a much younger team." Kind words from one of the best there is.
Daily Buzz: Zorc has announced contract-talks for both Julian Weigl and Christian Pulisic and hopefully they will extend soon but if you had to choose only one of them which would it be?
