Remember when Borussia Dortmund was rumored to be pursuing Ömer Toprak from Bayer Leverkusen quite heavily this summer? Negotiations fell through because Bayer wanted 25 million Euros and BVB management decided to wait until Toprak's 12 million Euro release clause activated next summer.

According to various German sources, this might happen sooner than anticipated. It seems like Toprak will sign a contract this January to join Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The 27 year old Turkish international center-back is said to be a favorite of Thomas Tuchel. But what will this look for our back line? In my opinion, Toprak is too good a player to only be a reserve player, but he's not good enough to reach the starting eleven ahead of Sokratis or Marc Bartra. There's also the question of what this means for Sven Bender, Matthias Ginter, Neven Subotic and Mikel Merino. We suddenly feel pretty stacked in the back.

What do you guys think? Is this Toprak purchase a good move?
