Kicker is reporting that Borussia Dortmund have the best chances to land Havard Nordtveit.

The 25-year-old Norwegian midfielder has been highly coveted during this transfer window, and has a scored three goals along with one assist this season.

Nordtveit is a versatile defensive midfielder who can also play center back. His ability to rotate positions have aroused an interest in Dortmund.

Following the conclusion of the season, Nordtveit can leave his current club, Borussia Monchengladbach, on a free transfer in the summer window.

With lingering doubts over the status of Neven Subotic's contract and return next season, Havard Nordtveit would likely be a solid fit, and certainly a cost-effective option, on the Dortmund back line.

Nordtveit can deliver skilled set pieces like the one he scored against Darmstadt this season.

Nordtveit also scored one of the goals of this Bundesliga season back on Matchweek 8 against Wolfsburg.
